About Us
Furniture for rooms that work for a living.
Commercial Furniture Depot supplies contract-grade furniture to hotels, restaurants, bars, offices and event venues across the United States and Canada. Around a thousand pieces, all of it built for rooms that get used hard, none of it priced until we know what your freight looks like.
Where we come from
Our team has spent fifteen years on the supply side of hospitality furniture: specifying orders, chasing production dates, and standing in half-finished dining rooms working out why the wrong fabric arrived. That is an unglamorous education, and it is the reason this catalog looks the way it does.
It teaches you things that are hard to learn from a product page. Which frames survive a bussing station and which ones loosen inside a year. Why a stool that measures beautifully still feels wrong at a 42-inch counter. How much of a “great price” quietly disappears into a liftgate fee at delivery. Most of what we know is the accumulated memory of things going wrong on somebody else’s project.
How we price
We do not publish prices, and we would rather explain that than have it look like something withheld. A commercial furniture number is not one number. It is the unit price at your quantity, the freight to your address, and the install if you need it, and those three move independently. Twenty chairs and twenty tables take up very different amounts of a trailer.
So we quote the whole thing, broken out, usually within one to two business days. Broken out matters: a single blended figure is the easiest place in this industry to hide freight, and you cannot compare two quotes that are each one number.
What we will tell you
Not every room needs contract grade in every position. A private office and a two-hundred-cover dining room are not the same problem, and it is reasonable to spend differently on them. If part of your list does not need what we sell, we will say so. That costs us a line on the order and saves the relationship.
We will also tell you when a lead time is bad. Made-to-order upholstery runs eight to sixteen weeks and no amount of optimism changes that. It is better to hear it while the schedule can still absorb it.
What we are not
We are not a marketplace and we are not a dropshipper with a catalog skin. Every piece listed is something we actually supply. If you are working from a designer's spec, we will price exactly what is on it. And if you are still figuring out the space, we can help with that too, from layout and finishes to a full furniture plan.
Where to start
New to this? Commercial Furniture 101 covers how the category is priced, quoted and bought, and what commercial grade actually means covers the specs behind the label. If you already know what you need, skip both and send us the list.
How we research and review our guides is set out in our editorial standards.
Tell us what you’re furnishing
Room type, rough seat count, and your timeline is enough to start. We reply within one to two business days with pricing, lead times and freight.
