At Wilmington's Chase Center on the Riverfront, an exhibit hall, a furnished boardroom and an auditorium create different furniture requirements. The venue's room specifications and trade-show services help buyers separate genuine inventory needs from equipment already provided and clarify who will handle incoming pieces.
Separate furnished rooms from open exhibit space
The Chase Center's facility specifications identify a furnished executive boardroom, an auditorium and multiple meeting rooms alongside exhibit areas and ballrooms. A single per-attendee chair estimate does not describe all of those settings. Room selection should precede an outside furniture order.
Ask for the inventory included in each contracted space and record what remains in place during the event. Identify only the additional lounge, registration or table pieces needed for the intended program. If a boardroom is already furnished, check its layout and accessibility with the venue before adding furniture that reduces the usable circulation around the existing table.
- Build a room-by-room inventory showing included equipment and proposed additions.
Confirm the loading route for the actual destination
The venue describes drive-in exhibit access, loading bays and lifts, and its trade-show page identifies loading docks at show-floor level. Those facilities support exhibit handling, but they do not establish a receiving arrangement for every meeting room or every carrier.
Give the venue the final destination, largest packed dimensions and delivery vehicle information. Confirm which loading point and internal route apply, and ask who will accept and move the shipment. Keep the delivery method distinct from guest parking or the public entrance. Where pieces are allocated to several rooms, label them by destination before dispatch so the receiving crew can avoid repeated handling.
- Obtain the venue-confirmed unloading point and internal route for each furniture allocation.
Coordinate outside furniture with the show's handling plan
The Chase Center's trade-show information identifies a preferred decorator providing layout, exhibitor shipping and drayage services, alongside in-house audiovisual support. These are separate services that may affect how a furniture shipment enters the event and where it can be placed.
Ask the event organizer which services are contracted and which party controls furniture placement. Add the actual footprints of lounge seating, counters and tables to the show drawing before quantities are finalized. Confirm packaging removal and the outbound pickup arrangement with the responsible handler. A coordinated schedule lets the buyer compare the complete required service scope rather than assuming a furniture delivery includes every event-handling task.
- Put the organizer, decorator and furniture receiver on one responsibility schedule.
