For an Omaha meeting or exhibition at CHI Health Center, the furniture order should begin with the venue's included inventory and the contracted receiving arrangements. Its operating documents also distinguish freight access from service access, which matters when a packed table or seating cart must reach an upper room.
Reconcile the CHI room inventory before buying extras
CHI Health Center's booking policies describe an initial meeting-room setup that includes labor and equipment such as tables and chairs, subject to available inventory. That qualification matters: a standard room package is neither a promise that every preferred chair is supplied nor a reason to order a duplicate set.
Ask for the actual room setup and inventory allocation for your event. Then create a gap list covering special seating, registration furniture or presentation tables that the venue will not provide. If furniture is being purchased for repeated Omaha events, record which pieces need to work independently of the venue's stock so the next booking does not depend on the same allocation.
- Obtain an itemized venue inventory confirmation before finalizing the outside furniture schedule.
Match the packed item to the assigned elevator
The venue publishes different dimensions and capacities for its freight elevator and its smaller service elevator. It also lists loading docks, levelers and drive-up ramps. A specification that fits the freight elevator does not establish that it can use a service route, and a loading dock is useful only when it serves the contracted move-in path.
Send the largest packaged item's dimensions, its handling weight and any cart dimensions to the event contact. For long tables or upholstered lounge pieces, ask whether unpacking is permitted before the elevator and where the packaging will go. Use the assigned route to decide between assembled and knock-down pieces.
- Put the confirmed dock, elevator and receiving room on the carrier's delivery instructions.
Name the freight receiver and preserve the approved layout
The facility rules say freight arriving before the licensed move-in period is not accepted without written approval; it may be refused or transferred to a logistics provider. They also call for event and receiver identification on shipments. Treat the delivery date on a supplier estimate as a coordination input, then confirm an accepted receiving appointment.
The same rules require detailed event floor plans and restrict unapproved changes and obstruction of public circulation. Keep any substitute chairs or additional counters within the approved arrangement. An attractive extra lounge group can create a handling and circulation problem if it arrives without a planned place to go.
- Assign one person to accept the shipment and reconcile substitutions with the event manager before dispatch.
